PEP GUARDIOLA jokingly threatened to punch a journalist after being asked who was the better manager out of him and Jose Mourinho.
The Manchester City boss threw his fist in the direction of the French reporter during his press conference in response to the question.
He eventually said: "I am not the guy to answer that," craftily avoiding having to give an answer.
The same journalist had previously asked whether Guardiola should consider a more defensive style of play, especially in big Champions League matches.
While not one to divert away from his passing philosophy, the Manchester City manager accepted adaptations are key in the approach to each match and no style can guarantee success.
He said:"Nobody has a guaranteed way of playing to win the Champions League.
"Nobody can assure me playing a defensive way will win. Not even the way we play will win the Champions League.
"All we can do, is play the way we want to play and that is all I can assure you.

"Of course you have to adapt, you have to adjust. Every game we do that, it depends on the quality of the players.
"So when you talk about offensive or defensive, we have to talk about which players they have at Olympique Lyon."
City take on the French side tonight knowing a draw is enough to see them qualify for the knockout rounds with a game to spare.
The Premier League champions were stunned in the reverse tie back in September but Guardiola will be desperate to set things right this time.
