The picture came with the caption "Aquaman", in reference to the DC Comics character, with the Danish international known for his self-confidence.

Bendtner is enjoying a career revival in Norway, after failing to live up to his own lofty ambitions in England.

The former Birmingham, Sunderland and Juventus forward previously declared that he wanted to be the best striker in the world, a claim that has haunted him throughout his career.

But his latest photo opportunity shows he's still got the physique as he continues to impress at Rosenborg.

The Danish international will need to be a superhero on Wednesday as the Trondheim outfit look to overturn a two-goal deficit against Celtic.

Bendtner started the first leg against the Scottish champions at Parkhead and set up Birger Meling for the opening goal.

But it was not enough as the Bhoys fought back to run out 3-1 winners ahead of the return fixture in the second qualifying round in Trondheim.

The winner will take on Greek outfit AEK Athens in the next round.

MANCHESTER UNITED have promised to subsidise fans for their trip to Barcelona after tickets were put on sale at 102 each.

The Red Devils revealed their Spanish counterparts would be charging the extraordinary price for the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash.

United claim they will therefore also charge Barca fans 102 a ticket when they visit Old Trafford for the first leg.

And that extra money will go towards subsidising 27 for each of the 4,610 tickets on sale for United fans at Camp Nou.

A statement read: We believe our travelling supporters are again being subjected to increased/excessive ticket prices from the host club.

Similarly to Valencia in the group stages and Sevilla last season, we have taken the difficult decision to charge Barcelona fans for the home leg at Old Trafford the same amount Barcelona are charging for the away fixture.

We will use the additional revenue gained from this to subsidise our travelling support by paying the 27 price difference for each of our travelling supporters.

Meanwhile, United fans are worried that Paul Pogba could be heading to Real Madrid after he expressed his admiration for the Spanish giants.

Pogba said: Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. Its one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"In the end I decided otherwise. My parents had allowed me to transfer, but I did not.

"I would have started at the Under-18s, the way into the first team would have been far.

"The competition would have been massive."

PAUL POGBA has been BANNED from speaking out about the ongoing crisis at Manchester United.

The France midfielder, 25, was told not to talk publicly after the clubs run without a victory went to four games following the stalemate against Valencia.

Pog hit out at Jose Mourinhos tactics after failing to beat Wolves last month and was then stripped of the vice-captaincy.

United have also lost to Derby in the EFL Cup and West Ham in the Premier League since.

Pogba, when asked to talk about the latest match without a win, said: "Im not allowed to."

Before the match, Mourinho took aim at Paul Pogba for caring about the name on his shirt more than his team and told players not to lose dignity.

The Manchester United boss, writing in his programme notes, launched a thinly veiled attack on Pogba after his vice-captain dismissal.

And the under-fire Portuguese coach underlined claims some care more than others at the club by saying his team must do the basics of fighting on the pitch.

He wrote: "All of my life, I have followed certain golden rules. One of them is that a team can lose matches that is just part of football but the team must never, ever lose its dignity.

"The team must fight, work, compete, win duels, be humble, and then at the end of the game every player must be exhausted because of the hard work they have given for the club, for the fans and for each other.

"That leads to another pair of golden rules which must be followed: the team is always more important than the individual, and the crest on the chest is more important than the name on the back of the shirt.

Mourinhos comments on the team being more important than the individual appear to be a dig at social-media star Pogba.

After returning from Russia as a World Cup-winner, Pogba has criticised Mourinho for not attacking more.

The 25-year-old has been unsettled since last season when he was dropped for the Champions League clash against Sevilla, which was Uniteds biggest game of the season at the time.

He is prepared to leave Old Trafford for a second time if Jose doesn't go first, with PSG ready to take him back to France.
