MANCHESTER UNITED have banked 9MILLION for reaching the Champions League quarter-finals - more than enough to make Ole Gunnar Solskjaer their permanent boss.
On a stunning night in the French capital, a late Marcus Rashford VAR penalty saw United dump out Paris Saint-Germain.
Down 2-0 from the first leg, Solskjaer's troops silenced the Parc des Princes - barring the away end, as Romelu Lukaku scored twice before Rashford's glory.
Juan Bernat had equalised for 1-1 in the game, but United's 3-1 win saw them go through on away goals.
That progression has swelled the coffers at Old Trafford - and will be more than enough to pay compensation to Molde.
As SunSport has previously reported, United have agreed a 7.2million deal to make Solskjaer their new permanent manager.
Sky Sports News claimedUnitedhad formalised a compensation package with his Norwegian club which will potentially come into force at the end of the season.
Originally, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was the No1 choice to replace Jose Mourinho in the long-term.
But Solskjaer has stunned since he came in to steady the ship - still undefeated in 12 Premier League games.
His only loss was the first leg reversal to PSG, but he has clearly righted that wrong and in some style too.
In the Champions League, not only do Manchester United have the chance of making history but there is up to 25m more in bonus payments up for grabs.
Each side in the quarter-finals of the competition scoops 9m, and those who make it through to the semi-finals will collect a further 10.33m.
Both teams who reach the final will be paid 12.9m, with a further 3.4m extra being dished out to the overall winners.

DELE ALLI raced off the pitch holding his arm after what looked like another nasty injury for Tottenham.
The England midfielder followed his club and country team-mate Harry Kane down the tunnel holding his wrist as he was subbed off for Fernando Llorente.
There were only three minutes of normal time to go for Spurs as they recorded a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final first leg at their new stadium.
Kane's knock appeared to be far worse, after the England captain barrelled in on Fabian Delph, but the City left-back accidentally stamped on his ankle.
But the prospect of missing both Kane and Alli for the double header with City next week after they welcome Huddersfield to their new stadium on Saturday is a daunting one.
Son Heung-min ended up scoring the winner for the men in white after he brilliantly kept the ball in play before firing past Ederson.
Alli was still on the pitch at that point and with Kane ruled out it was a welcome relief for the home fans, especially as they kept a clean sheet.
City never really clicked into top gear at the new 62,000-stadium, in its maiden European game.
But the tie is certainly not over, given Pep Guardiola's side's ability to put the ball in the back of the net.
Alli's injury will likely not rule him out of any games, given it is on his wrist with a cast or a brace able to protect his limb.

WATFORD and Burnley are among a host of Premier League clubs set to watch Young Boys defender Loris Benito tonight.
The left-back, 26, is in action in the Champions League against Manchester United.
At present, Benito is the understudy to Milan star Ricardo Rodriguez in the Swiss team.
But he has impressed at Young Boys since arriving from Benfica in 2015.
He is out of contract in the summer, putting Prem clubs on alert ahead of the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, manager Gerardo Seoane is braced for a backlash following Uniteds latest poor showing.
Jose Mourinhos side were jeered off the pitch after Saturdays drab 0-0 home draw with strugglers Crystal Palace.
But United will be through to the last 16 of the Champions League if they win and Valencia fail to beat Juventus tonight.
Young Boys need three points to have any chance of a third-place finish and a Europa League spot.
The fact United have only won three of their nine home matches this season should give the Swiss visitors hope.
But Seoane believes that is merely a blip.
He said: I think this is something not usual, these results.
Manchester United are strong at home and, for sure, they will want to show to their crowd that they are strong.
This stadium has a big tradition. United were always the Red Devils at home so we expect a very difficult game.
Key striker Guillaume Hoarau will be absent with an ankle injury and Sekou Sanogo is suspended for the Group H encounter.
Former Newcastle full-back Kevin Mbabu hopes to replicate the first 30 minutes of the fixture in Berne before United kicked on to win 3-0.
He said: We started really good but we had a lack of efficiency.
We had a few chances and when you dont score at this level, the opponent doesnt need too many chances to score a goal.

CELTIC star Olivier Ntcham detonated a bottle of referees line spray making it explode during the 1-1 Champions League draw with AEK Athens on Wednesday.
Callum McGregor gave the home side an early lead on 14 minutes but the Greeks levelled just before the break.
Victor Klonaridis got the better of Brendan Rodgers defence and lashed the ball past Craig Gordon on 44 minutes.
Even the red card shown to Konstantinos Galanopoulos 12 minutes into the second half did not help Celtic regain the lead.
The shock explosion came just after referee Luca Banti had dropped his bottle of white spray after 53 minutes.
The Parkhead side were in the Greeks half when Ntcham shuffled to his right to collect a loose bouncing ball.
The midfielders right boot landed on the aerosol and a cloud of white foam burst into the air.
The player paused momentarily but, realising what had happened, he took aim with a rasping right-foot shot that skimmed wide.
Ntcham was unharmed but his left thigh was caked in the spray and he attempted to clean up the mess before the ref intervened.
The Frenchman was an injury concern before the play-off round clash but he recovered from an Achilles tendon injury to complete 90 minutes.

THE worst decisions can lead to the best debates.
And the penalty given to Manchester City when Raheem Sterling tripped himself up has sent Twitter into over-drive - with fierce arguments and comical memes aplenty.
Referee Viktor Kassai was slated for "one of the worst decisions ever in football" while City striker Sterling divided opinion for not alerting the officials to their error during City's 6-0 Champions League demolition of Shakhtar Donetsk.
The England superstar, 23, said: "I went to chip the ball and don't know what happened.
"'I didn't feel contact. I scuffed the ball. Apologies to the ref."
And responding to claims Sterling should have told the ref, boss Pep Guardiola said: "He could do that, yeah.
"But last season Liverpool and James Milner could say the same for the pass for the second goal in the 44th minute of the quarter-final. That was a legal goal."
Guardiola mainly put the blame on the lack of video technology, adding: "VAR is what it is. I said a long time ago the refs must be helped."
Football is certainly littered with examples of teams and players keeping quiet when knowingly gaining advantage from a ref's blunder, big or small, important or not.
So surely is it harsh to suddenly single out Sterling for criticism.
Or should City and their in-form atacker forget about the others and just focus on their own standards of fair play?
And after setting a new mark in British football for stylish play, should City try to match that with their etiquette?
Adam keyworth @adamkeyworth tweeted what he believes were clear blunders in other games, and asked if the players involved should have owned up.
He then said: "Or is it only cheating when it's Sterling/City?"
And he added: "This list could go on forever and could apply to most clubs.
"Can't help but wonder why this is the one that causs so much fauz outrage from the usual suspects... have a day off."
One fan responded: "Neither legend Maradona nor (Thierry) Henry did it.. That's a bitter agenda against @Mancity and Sterling. .. What a shame!"
Rio Ferdinand says Manchester City players should have stopped and told referee Raheem Sterling had tripped himselfBut another argued: "It was such a bad decision with @Sterling that he should have said it wasn't a penalty.
"Or Man C should have done the decent thing and deliberately missed the penalty. In the same way that you would kick a ball out to stop play if a player was injured."
Shakhtar chief Paulo Fonseca said of the penalty verdict: "It's ridiculous. Everyone saw it. I told the referee it was ridiculous. But we didn't lose the game because of that."
And the debate seems certain to rage far longer than his hapless side survive in this season's Champions League.
