PAUL POGBA looked glum as he returned from Seville after being dropped by Jose Mourinho.

The under-fire Manchester United midfielder only played against the La Liga side due to an injury Ander Herrera picked up 17 minutes into the clash.

Mourinho praised him for his performance but Pogba, 24, still appeared down in the dumps as he arrived at Manchester airport early this morning.

Though perhaps it is the lack of sleep which is bugging the France international.

Pogba was escorted by security outside the terminal wearing his full United tracksuit, personalised "PP" trainers and a hat.

The rest of the squad looked shattered and while Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera posed for pictures and sign autographs, Alexis Sanchez appeared too sleepy to do so.

Mourinho's men managed a 0-0 draw in Spain, meaning it is all to play for in next month's second leg at Old Trafford.

David De Gea was the hero on the night as the Red Devils finished the happier of the two sides.

Though fuming Mourinho hit out at his own medical staff after a team selection blunder.

The Portuguese boss had been told Herrera, 28, was fit to play after missing the last three games.

But he limped off after 17 minutes, giving Pogba an unexpected early chance to get back into Mourinho's good books.

Mourinho said of Herrera's condition: "I think it is a bad injury. He had a small injury that stopped him playing in the last couple of matches, but the medical department made him 100 per cent ready for last Saturday.

"We didn't play him to give more work and more protection, but it looks like he wasn't fully fit.

"The medical department made him fully fit. He trained and he looked fit.

"The way he was playing he showed that intensity that is only possible when you are fit.

"He was pressing really high, we were not giving one inch to them. Then the backheel created the contraction in the muscular area and now we have proof he was not 100 per cent fit."

Manchester United stars test touch on Teqball table as they relax ahead of Juventus clash

Man Utd players enjoyed a game of Teqball before playing Juventus

MANCHESTER UNITED players warm up for their Champions League clash with Juventus by playing a game of Teqball.

Its the latest craze sweeping across the football world, with the likes of Lionel Messi and Brazils national side enjoying the fun game.

Teqball almost works like a game of table tennis, except players must use their head and feet to knock a football over the net.

Chelsea stars including new arrivals Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic have been regularly snapped playing this season.

And it seems Manchester United have caught the bug after drawing with the Blues 2-2 on Saturday.

The club uploaded a clip to Twitter showing Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic playing a game in the sunshine at Carrington.

The stars showed off an array of skills as they kept the ball in play.

And they will need to summon every ounce of talent to keep Cristiano Ronaldo at bay when Juve visit Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The Portuguese superstar was mobbed when he touched down at Manchester airport.

And he will be hoping to lead Juve to victory against his former side tomorrow night, despite being fondly remembered for three Premier League title wins and a Champions League trophy to boot.

Arsenal will boost transfer kitty by at least 50m if they beat Chelsea in the Europa League final

Arsenal play Chelsea in the final of the Europa League after beating Valencia in the semi-final over two legs

ARSENAL are playing for a staggering 50m-plus when they meet Chelsea in the Europa League final.

The May 29 clash in Baku is the Gunners last chance to get back into the Champions League after a two-year absence.

But the real reward is not the silver trophy on offer in Baku, but the golden financial inheritance in guarantees.

Arsenals run to the final has earned them 31.43m in TV and prize money, which will rise to 34.9m if they beat Chelsea.

Yet merely qualifying for the Champions League will be worth 38.25m next season, BEFORE they even kick a ball in the competition.

Uefa now distribute 508m of their revenues to the 32 group phase teams according to the 10-year historical rankings, which gives extra bonus points for previous victories in European club competitions.

An Arsenal win in Baku will see them jump into eighth place in the 10-year rankings.

But without Manchester United in the Champions League, the Gunners will move up to seventh place and receive 25.01m as their share.

MARKET SHARE

They also will earn 13.24m as a qualifying bonus.

And while Arsenal would not take an initial share of the 28.9m English TV market pool, they would be entitled to a proportion of the second tranche of the same sum, divided between the English sides as a percentage of the games they play over the course of the competition.

That is just the starters for Unai Emery.

Uefa give bonuses of 2.34m for each group stage win, with draws worth 781,000.

But the big bucks then really kick in.

Reaching the last 16 is worth 8.25m, with the quarter-finals adding another 9.11m.

Spurs and Liverpool then bagged a further 10.41m for reaching the semi-finals, with their remarkable comebacks earning both of them a minimum 13.02m.

Next months winners in Madrid will take 16.49m.

To underline the comparison, while Arsenal have so far made 64.22m from two seasons in the Europa League, North London rivals Spurs have banked 88.5m from this campaign alone.

And there is a further carrot in the shape of Fifas planned 2021 expanded Club World Cup.

While the precise entry criteria have yet to be confirmed, one plan is for the winners of the two major European club competitions for 2019, 2020 and 2021 to be given automatic entry to a tournament which could be worth more than 30m to each club.

Jadon Sancho aiming to help other kids keep clear of bad people as he returns to London

Jadon Sancho returns to London this week when Dortmund face Tottenham in the Champions League

JADON SANCHO was only six months old when England played their final game at the old Wembley in October 2000.

And where the English whizkid, 18, has just become the youngest player to score eight Bundesliga goals.

Borussia Dortmunds poster boy returns to his home city tomorrow to face Tottenham at the new Wembley in a Champions League match for which Sancho has had to locate 30 tickets for friends and family.

Yet while he belongs to the FIFA generation having got to know his Dortmund team-mates via Xbox Sancho is clearly in check with real life and appears to be growing into a sensible and impressive character.

His message about his remarkable season was clear: It hasnt been easy. Ive had to work for this.

As he spoke about life in Germany and his hopes for the future, Sancho revealed his plans to return home to speak to youngsters at his former schools to reinforce that message.

To tell them about the importance of staying out of trouble and focusing on studying.

'BEST DAY EVER' Fulham ace Cyrus Christie sends orphaned 11-year-old girl to Man Utd game in five-star luxury after hearing of death of her mother

Sancho comes from Kennington in south London and witnessed some unsavoury things growing up.

Aged 12, he became a boarder at Watford FCs partner school, The Harefield Academy, but is proud of his roots.

Asked whether he could be a role model both on and off the pitch, he said: For sure. My friends back there have brothers and sisters in Kennington and they always ask me, Can I have a shirt for my little brother or my cousin? and I always send them.

I will never forget where I have come from because I know what it is like growing up in that area and it is not nice, especially when you have people around you doing bad things.

For the kids that are in south London, I hope I can give a positive message. Dont do those bad things.

You dont have to be footballers. You could focus on your school work. Education is the most important thing and a lot of kids in south London get distracted from education. I am lucky enough I had the opportunity to go to Harefield at the time.

I didnt really want to go to that boarding school. I wanted to stay at home and travel. But the people around me told me what was best and I listened to them and I am happy that I am here today, where I am.

So, I am looking to do some interviews in schools where I can help south London kids just like me.

I was where they are once upon a time and I just want to give them a good message, and I think that would be nice for them to hear.

I am trying to go back to my old schools first and hopefully, if things progress, I can go to other schools and just give that message and give things out that would be nice for the school, like footballs.

Pushed to explain those bad things, he added: I dont really want to go into detail, but it is just about having the wrong people around you.

Things can escalate very quickly and it wasnt right, so I had to get out of there and focus on what I loved.

He will try and tackle this with his message to Kennington schoolkids.

Sancho explained: It is just about doing the wrong things. Like being out late. Just stay at home.

For an 18-year-old to come out with this sort of stuff is pretty impressive. And the fact that Dortmund allowed Sancho to speak so openly ahead of such a big game is also refreshing.

It is something many Premier League clubs could learn from.

Jadon Sancho stunning highlights reel of talent in just one game for Borussia Dortmund

Ahead of his interview with the British media at Dortmunds Signal Iduna Park stadium, Sancho introduced himself and shook the hands of the journalists present.

Dortmunds press officer revealed his admiration that Sancho has behaved in this way ever since he arrived from Manchester City in August 2017.

Now tearing things up in the Bundesliga, form which has now seen him capped three times by England, there is no doubt he was right to make the move, as he would not have been anywhere near Citys first team.

He said: It was a big decision for me. I just have to keep focused and probably just reflect on how its all gone well when the season has finished. But right now I just have to keep working hard and keep improving day by day.

It hasnt been easy, training and showing what Im about to the coaches. Theyve seen what I can do and Ive been showing it in games doing my skills and what I do best.

Sancho is settled in Dortmund and key to that is having dad Sean in Germany with him.

He revealed: Im in an apartment with my dad. But I think me being so comfortable being abroad, its due to the fact Ive always been away from home from young.

I like Dortmund a lot. Its just chilled, nice people, Im loving it. Obviously, speaking German will be always kind of hard to me but Im getting the basics right, working on speaking it in training.

Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho dedicates winning goal to late grandmother

I know what the manager is saying in training, which makes it easier for me and for the players also. Thats how you interact, you come together more.

Im improving every day and the likes of Marco Reus, Mario Gotze and Axel Witsel are great role models to me and everyone else in the team.

Its really nice to have them around telling me what to do, and whats not good, helping me solve things I wouldnt solve by myself.

I felt at the time that I needed to try something different and Borussia Dortmund was the club I went to and chose.

I thought, This will be my new home. Ill work really hard to prove myself and for others around the world to watch what I can do.

His sights are firmly set on Spurs, a team he would love to beat due to his own allegiances.

Asked whether he is a Chelsea fan, Sancho roared with laughter. Who me? Im not gonna lie. It is correct.

The technology is being used in world football's top club competition for the last-16 fixtures this February after being fast-tracked by UEFA.

And it has already spared ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois blushes by controversially ruling out an Ajax goal after a howler by the Real Madrid star.

European soccer's governing body had originally intended to introduce VAR from next season.

The plan was to roll it out from the Champions League qualifying play-offs in August.

But now it has been brought forward after a number of controversial incidents in the group stage - and pressure from clubs.
